The 187th Synod of the Diocese of Huron
Date: Friday, October 23 & Saturday, October 24
Location: St. Paul's Cathedral, London
Diocesan Synod is taking place this weekend at St. Paul's Cathedral. Observers are welcome to tune into the livestream embedded below, or via the Diocesan Website.
An Anglican diocesan synod is the principal representative body through which a diocese, the regional jurisdiction overseen by a bishop, deliberates and makes decisions about its common life and mission. It brings together clergy and lay representatives from local congregations, alongside the bishop, to consider matters of theology, governance, ministry, and finances, with authority defined by the church’s constitution and canons. It is both a governing body and an expression of the Anglican conviction that the church’s life should be discerned collaboratively by bishops, clergy, and laity.
