Dear Friends in Christ:
It is with joy that write to send you greetings as I return from maternity leave. This past year has been a time of profound blessing for my family with the arrival of baby James. Thank you all for the care, patience, and encouragement you extended to us during this season.
I am especially thankful for the many ways you have continued to be coworkers in the Gospel of Christ. Your ongoing ministries of worship, care, learning, and service are a testament to the Spirit’s presence among you. I am also deeply grateful for the Rev. Dr. Virginia Lane and the faithful leadership she offered during my absence. I’ve heard affirmations of her dedicated ministry, and I know that her gifts were a blessing to St. Martin’s.
As I return to pastoral ministry, I am looking forward to reconnecting, both in our shared gatherings and in quieter conversations. If you or a loved one would appreciate a visit—at home, in hospital, or even over coffee—I would love to hear from you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out and let me know.
We are entering this next season of ministry with hearts full of expectation, trusting that God is at work in us and through us. It is a privilege to walk this journey of faith with you. Please know that I continue to hold you in prayer.
With gratitude,
Sarah Armstrong+
