Service of Commemoration of the Dead

Sunday, November 2 | 7:00–8:00 p.m.

As Allhallowtide draws to a close, we gather for a quiet service of remembrance, giving thanks for those whom we love but see no longer.

Grief is something we all carry in different ways. Whether your loss is recent or many years ago, whether you are remembering a family member, friend, neighbour, or someone whose absence is still deeply felt, you are welcome to join us.

This reflective service includes prayers, music, Scripture readings, and moments of silence. During the service there will be an opportunity to light candles and name those being remembered as we hold them in our hearts before God.

You do not need to be Anglican—or even Christian—to attend. Whether you are seeking comfort, wishing to honour the memory of someone you love, or simply looking for a place to grieve alongside others, we hope you will find this to be a gentle and welcoming space.

Come as you are, and join us as we remember, mourn, and hold fast to the hope that love is stronger than death.

A Season of Hope and Remembrance

Each year, the Church marks Allhallowtide over three days: All Hallows' Eve (October 31), All Saints' Day (November 1), and All Souls' Day (November 2). Together, these observances invite us to reflect on God's promise of life beyond death, to give thanks for the faithful who have gone before us, and to remember with love those we have lost.

Whether you're deeply rooted in Christian faith, exploring Anglican worship for the first time, or simply checking out the church in your neighbourhood, you're warmly invited to join us. Each event offers a different way of participating in this season of celebration, remembrance, and hope.
